The Red Hill Special School’s camping program
enables students to further their learning and social skills development in a
non-school setting. Camps may have a social, recreational, environmental or
outdoor emphasis and are an important aspect of the educational programs
offered at our school. When school camps are conducted, they shall be
undertaken as an integral part of the educational programs of the school with
an emphasis on educational experiences with the gradual development of
independence and responsibility.
School excursions enhance students' learning by providing the opportunities for students to participate in curriculum-related activities outside the normal school routine. School excursions are well-planned curriculum-related activities that aim to maximize students' learning experiences. All school excursions and camps are planned by class teachers and approved by the school principal.
